Assistant Animal Control Officer – Per Diem (as needed basis).  Under the direction of the Animal Control Officer, receives and responds to complaints regarding domestic and wildlife animals from the general public; to enforce all relevant State and Town laws, ordinances and policies.  Must possess valid CT motor vehicle operator’s license.  Must obtain rabies vaccination and keep current.  Must have current CT Animal Control Officer Certification or be willing to complete within one year. TOWN OF MANSFIELD   (Posted 3/29/18)

The Town of Mansfield is looking for Substitute Assistant Animal Control Officers. Duties include enforcing state statutes and town ordinances; impounding unlicensed and roaming dogs; caring for dogs and cats housed at the Animal Shelter; and preparing our annual canine survey. Ability to work independently, good organizational and communications skills are essential.
Salary range is $19.79-$23.74/hr. This is a part time, non-benefit eligible position up to 19 hours per week. Applicants must have flexibility to be available on days, evenings, weekends and holidays and be willing to respond to emergency calls for service when needed. In order to provide a timely response to emergency calls for service, candidates should reside within 30 minutes of the Animal Shelter.
Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, valid Connecticut driver’s license, and some related experience in animal care or code enforcement required.

Part Time Position  (Posted 3/7/18)




A part-time position for a Certified Asst. Animal Control Officer, two weekends per month.


 Position will be supervised by the Animal Control Officer and the Police Department. The position will include enforcing State Animal Laws and Town Ordinances. Candidate will possess valid driver’s license, must be able to work independently within established guidelines and interact with the public. Oral and written reports of daily activities will be required.

Montville, CT   -   ASSISTANT ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER (posted 3/7/18)
